Lincoln Ladies 0-1 Doncaster Belles Rovers

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your support last night, It was great to play at Sincil Bank in front of truly supportive crowd. I am just sorry it was the wrong result.

In spells last night I thought we played well and created some good scoring opportunities. To be fair to Doncaster they were very well organized and set about their objectives very well.

Just moments before Doncaster scored, our very own Carla Cantrell tried an audacious lob from 25-yards out which dropped just over bar. So close yet so far.

At half time Rod made two changes with Remi Allen going off for Sophie Walton and Rachel Daly being substituted for Melissa Sutcliffe.

We started the second half nice and lively believing that we could get back into the match, but unfortunately it wasn’t going to be our day.

I was desperate to kick off our season with a win and get the three points. I am gutted we have lost, but I am sure we will bounce back.

Next up Chelsea, let’s hope we can get an away victory.
