“Have I had a perm and have I borrowed my mum’s blouse?”

Hi guys

Firstly I would like to start with saying a massive congratulations to England ladies reaching the quarter finals of the women’s world cup, our very own Jess Clarke, Sophie Bradley and Casey Stoney have played a massive part in this progression. Jess actually scored the winner against New Zealand when she came on as “Super Sub” and casey and Sophie have been fantastic throughout. It has been hard watching the girls in Germany I would love to be out there playing but have managed to keep involved doing the punditry on the BBC. I love the TV work it’s something I would like to do when I finish playing. The tournament as a whole has been a massive success, the standard of play excellent; the crowds immense, on average 20,000 spectators have been at every game which is great for women’s football. During the BBC coverage they have tried to get the public involved through twitter the feedback has been very positive apart from the text I received from my manager Rod who said, “Have I had my teeth whitened? Have I had a perm and have I borrowed my mum’s blouse?” It’s a good job I don’t take offence!!

I have been travelling to the BBC studios in London on the train as its much more relaxed and quicker than driving (so I thought) on my way home after the Japan game the train terminated about 30 minutes away from Liverpool and they sent buses to pick us up to take us back, I didn’t get in my house until really late and the reason for the termination was a suicidal cow, the train hit Daisy and she damaged the train so badly it couldn’t continue. RIP Daisy!!! I am sure she could have mooooooved!!

At the moment I am not only involved in the World cup I am frantically trying to get a flight to see my brother get married in Rhodes the problem is flights are nonexistent at the moment for the days I want to travel  . So if anyone has any ideas or a private jet please get in touch!!
