Arsenal Ladies v Leeds Carnegie Ladies

Leeds Carnegie Ladies end their season of firsts and lasts by becoming the first senior Leeds football team to play at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in what will be their last game as a team in this form.

A win against the newly-crowned league champions would put Leeds on 50 points, making this their most successful season in the top flight.

It would also mean Everton have to win their final two games to take second place off Leeds, and the second Champions League place.

Leeds have played and lost to Arsenal twice already this season, but only by the odd goal in each game. Two years ago, after the 4-1 defeat in the FA Cup Final, this fixture produced an enthralling 1-1 draw, so Leeds will be hoping to go one better and end the campaign in style.

It’s not quite the end of the season, however, as the reserves still have two away trips of their own; to Blackburn on Thursday 13th and Sunderland on Sunday 16th May.

Kick-off at the Emirates is at 7pm, with audio commentary for the final time this season by Jo Currie through the BBC Radio Leeds web site.
