Rick welcomes Bass in his inimitable way!
Hey guys
Firstly I would like to say Happy Birthday to my dad it was his big 70th on Monday, we are still celebrating now I have never been out for so many meals in my entire life. As eating is my favorite pastime its all good for me! Then I’m sure it will continue for my big birthday at the end of November (yes I’m sure you are all thinking I must be 21, but actually it’s the big 30 for me). I am actually away in Turkey for my Birthday, not sunbathing but playing for England. We have a world cup qualifier against them on the 26th so the celebrations will have to be put on hold until we return.
Moving on to Leeds Carnegie, we played Sunderland mid-week and they continued to be our bogey team. We drew the game 0-0 and I think for the neutral it would have been a very exciting game, but for anyone involved in either team it was probably very nerve wracking! We have also managed to sign a great player from Arsenal and England (and no it’s not Theo Walcott) it’s even better, Laura Basset signed at the beginning of the week. She is just what we need at Leeds a quality player with vast experience and a good communicator, oh and best of all she is one of my good friends, and before you say it I didn’t have any influence in her coming apart from telling her what a fantastic club we are and that we are definitely going places!!!! Bass was welcomed into the team for our midweek game against Sunderland she played very well, but because we didn’t play the best at half time our manager Rick give us all a good telling off, due to his frustrations he kicked my bag and my water bottle flew out by accident and hit Bass. I think the girls were dying to laugh but due to the situation we couldn’t really! Welcome to the team…. mate!! Our game on Sunday was called off due to the heavy rain, so we will now be playing Blackburn this weekend in the quarter final of the League Cup.
Going off football I went to see Pink this week, she was excellent it was a great show and I would definitely go back to see her again. Her voice sounds just like the CD and some of the dance routines were superb. I thought I should tell you that so my street cred goes up slightly as the last concert I went to was Sir Cliff!!
Moving on to my favorite show at the moment X-Factor, can anyone believe the twins are still going strong? Who is voting for them? They are awful but I suppose love them or loathe them they do entertain. One bonus is they are irritating Simon Cowell every week that they go through. Ollie is my favorite at the moment but im sure that will change next week, I am very fickle!!
Anyway I just want to leave it by saying please come and support us in our quarter final against Blackburn Sunday 2pm KO at Farsley Celtic.
