Hey guys
After my column last week about how Leeds Carnegie ladies were unbeaten, yes you guessed it we were beaten mid week by Sunderland. The game finished 2-1 and all credit has to go to Sunderland who definitely wanted it more than we did. We just didn’t perform and everyone was very disappointed at the end. We got, shall we say a telling off by our manager Rick and an absolute roasting off our assistant manager Colin. We had to turn it around quickly as we had a cup game against Aston Villa on Sunday. Luckily we did and we won the game comfortably 4-2 it could have been many more and it was probably one of our best performances of the seasons, obviously we wanted to do well for ourselves but I think we were all a little bit scared of Colin telling us off again!!!
My mum and dad have gone away this week to sunny Bournemouth so I am Dog sitting little Jack. He is such a baby and misses my mum and dad so much he just doesn’t leave me alone. I also had my niece Ella over at the weekend she has grown up so much, some of the things she says is like what an old lady would say. I asked her how she was, and her reply was “I could be better” and when you leave and say goodbye she says “bye and thanks for coming”. I am sure my brother teaches her things like that for his own entertainment. I hadn’t seen her since I got back from Finland so as you can imagine I had lots of presents for her. She went through them all telling me if she liked them or didn’t, you definitely cant be offended by children hey.
All of the England squad that went to the Euros in Finland as a reward for doing well we have been asked to go and watch the men’s game next week at Wembley. We will have a meal watch the game and go around the pitch at halftime, hopefully we won’t get booed! The men’s team was very supportive of us when we were away and constantly sent messages of support to us, which was nice knowing that they took an interest in how we were getting on.
Talking of England I have been selected in the next international fixture, which is a world cup qualifier against Malta in Blackpool. This is our first fixture since the Euros so hopefully we will get a big crowd and what more could fans want they can go on the fair, up Blackpool tower, buy some Blackpool rock and then watch us lot. I couldn’t think of anything better!
Lastly we play Birmingham at home at Farsley Celtic this Sunday 2pm kick off please come and support us.
